At the end of 2020, 15% of Iowa households could not pay their utility bills on time and collectively owed $30 million on their power bills. So how do we empower Iowa ratepayers? This video from a panel of Iowa clean energy leaders introduces the Iowa Ratepayer Bill of Rights (IowaRBoR) framework. We all need energy to survive and thrive, but because of a monopoly rate-regulated utility system, it becomes hard for members of our local communities to thrive.
